For new installations of single split air conditioners with a refrigerant charge below 3 kg, the GWP limit is set at 750 starting in 2025.
The regulation has been put into force to encourage the industry and its users to transition to refrigerants with a lower GWP. Samsung is accelerating the transition towards lower GWP refrigerants, such as R32, and will continue to invest in environmentally friendly alternatives.
